Here, we defined a struct called info of the type fb_var_screeninfo. This data type is new and this is the first time we have implemented one:

struct fb_var_screeninfo info;

A struct, short for structure, is a complex data type that allows us to combine different data types (array, int, char, and so on) in a nested format within a single block of memory.

The following is an example of a struct:

struct Example { int nums[30]; char letters[26]; }
